BARBER AMENDMENT CAMPAIGN
So many thanks for your enthusiasm to move on
BARBER in the 113th Congress. We have all the online tools you'll need to
run campaigns to contact Congress and more. Please familiarize yourself with the FedCURE
NETWORK, set out below.
National Organizational SIGN-ON
Letter (FedCURE'rs can help circulate) at FedCURE's Google+ page; and a National "CALL CONGRESS DAY"
for everyone to call their Congress persons, through the Capital Switch Board, urging them to
support the BARBER AMENDMENT. All 535 members.
Timing is everything and we have identified
several windows of opportunity in the 113th Congress, and we are diligently
watching the Hill for opportunities when Congress is best be situated and
open to listenening to us. It is up to all of us to educate members of Congress and their staff, that the BARBER AMENDMENT is a conservative method to reduce the federal inmate population to safe operating levels. You would be shockingly surprised at how many people, Congress included, do not know that there is no federal parole.
Please be advised of the (up-to-date, fully
programmed) FedCURE NETWORK and its resources:
- FedCURE/CHANGE.org ~ BARBER
AMENDMENT Petition: Almost 47,000 e-certified signatories and e-mail
addresses that we can send updates and c2a's
- FedCURE/POPVOX ~ BARBER AMENDMENT CAMPAIGN:
More then 15,000 supporters. Thru our BETA development partnership with
POPVOX we can e-mail updates and c2a's to supporters, public and the press; and
more important to every subscribed member of Congress and
Congressional Staff--in real time (see: FedCURE/POPVOX Live Feed
from public to Congress at: http://www.fedcure.org/documents/HR1475.shtml).
VIA POPVOX we can interface
directly with members of Congress during hearings and floor debates via
mobile devices (approved by Congress in 2011). POPVOX is also
integrated with the House Democratic intranet system, DemCom. This means
that when FedCURE uploads a position on a bill -- in support or opposition
-- the information is accessible to every Democratic House staffer in real
time. The Democratic Whip's office sent out this email, and we wanted
to make sure you saw it. See: https://www.popvox.com/orgs/fedcure/hr1475.
FedCURE'rs can watch it all on live streaming video from
the Senate and House floors at: http://www.senate.gov/floor/ and
http://clerk.house.gov/floorsummary/floor.aspx; and FedCURE can communicate with members as they speak
(during the floors debates).
